What is it?
- Alkylating Agents- causes cell death
- Used for- Hodgkin’s Disease, Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Multiple Myelomas, Brain Tumors, Chronic Leukemia, Lymphoma
Side Effects
- Nausea, Vomiting, Loss of Appetite, Tremors, Muscle Twitching, Confusion, Seizures, Hallucinations, Skin Rash, Acute Leukemia
- Report to Physician- Unusual Bleeding, Bruising, Fever, Cough, Sore Throat, Chills, Stomach Pain, Yellow Skin or Eyes, Shortness of Breath
What can I do?
- See your Health Care Provider- as needed, Skin Rashes, 10-12 glasses of Fluid per Day
- See your Pharmacist- for help
- AVOID- if Pregnancy, Lactation, Radiation, Sensitive to Drug
- Restrict- if Radiation or Chemotherapy until 4 Weeks after
- See a Food Fitness First Registered Dietitian- on line for helps
- Should Drink Plenty of Fluids, Small, Frequent Meals may have Gastrointestinal Upset
