- Aminoglycosides- Antibiotics, cause Cell Death, Oral is Poorly Absorbed
- Used For- Short Term Treatment of Serious Infections caused by E Coli, Species of Pseudomonas, Indolepositive Proteus, Providencia, Klebsiella-Enterobacter-Serratia, Acinetobacter; Staphylococcal Infection, Neonatal Sepsis
Side Effects
- Headache, Fever, Numbness, Tingling, Confusion, Depression, Convulsions, Muscular Weakness, Hyper and Hypotension, Nausea, Vomiting, Loss of Appetite, Diarrhea, Weight Loss, Increased Saliva, Anemia, Rash, Itching

- See your Health Care Provider- as needed; Assistance with Walking
- See your Pharmacist- for help
- AVOID- if Allergic to Aminoglysides, Lactation, Infant Botulism, Parkinson’s Disease, Kidney Disease, Hepatic Disease, Hearing Loss, Myasthenia Gravis
- Use Cautiously- if Elderly, Decreased Hearing, Decreased Kidney Function, Dehydration
- Increase Fluids, Small/Frequent Meals, Good/Frequent Mouth Care
