What is it?

  • Atenolol- given for Hypertension to Lower the Blood Pressure, Decreases the Excitability of the Heart, Treatment of MI/Myocardial Infarction
  • Used For- Prevention of Migraine Headaches, Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome
  • Taken as- a Pill by Mouth, Injected
  • Dosage- 25, 50, 100 mg.; Injection- 5 mg./10ml.

Side Effects:

  • Symptoms- Dizziness, Light-headedness, Vertigo, Fatigue, Depression, Sleep Disturbances, Fever, Sore Throat, Rash, Hallucinations, Memory Loss, Slurred Speech, Congestive Heart Failure, Hypotension, Sweating, Dry Skin, Dry Eyes, Eye Irritation, Nausea, Vomiting, Loss of Appetite, Diarrhea, Muscle Cramps, Joint Pain, Frequent Urination, Cough, Nasal Stuffiness, Hypoglycemia, Nightmares, Sexual Impotence, Night Cough
