What is it?

  • Zocor- to Lower Fats as Cholesterol, LDL/Low Density Lipoproteins, may Increase or not change the HDL/High Density Liproteins
  • Used- to Decrease the Risk of Coronary Disease, Stoke TIA/Trans Ischemic Attacks, MI/Myocardial Infarction, Treatment of Hypertriglyceridemia/Elevated Triglycerides
  • Taken as- a Pill, by Mouth (Dosage- 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, mg.)

Side Effects

  • Symptoms- Headache, Sleep Disturbances, Diarrhea, Cramps, Constipation, Nausea, Heartburn, Abdominal Pain, Liver Failure, Acute Renal Failure, Muscle and Joint Aches, Sensitivity to Light, Changes in Vision, Fever, Muscle Pain and soreness, Dark Urine, Light Colored Stools
