What is it?
Lipitor- to Decrease Fats in the Blood (Cholesterol, LDL/Low
Density Lipoproteins), Increase HDH/High Density Lipoproteins),
and Lowers Triglyceride Levels
o LDL- BAD Cholesterol
o HDL- GOOD Cholesterol
Used- to Prevent CVD/Cardiovascular Disease with Multiple Risk
Factors as Hypertension, Smoking, High LDL, Low HDL, Family
History of Cardiovascular Disease; to reduce the Risk of
MI/Myocardial Infarction
Taken as- a Pill, by Mouth
o Available- 10, 20, 40, and 80 mg.
Side Effects:
Symptoms- Headache, Constipation, Abdominal Pain, Nausea,
Heartburn, Liver Failure, Renal Failure
