Common Doses of creatine monohydrate- 2.5 to 5 gram tablets, 1 teaspoon or 5
grams of powder
o Loading Doses- 15-20 grams/day/orally for 6 days, > 20 grams is
ineffective
o Maintenance Dose- 5 to 10 grams/day/oral (5 grams = 2.4 lbs. of
uncooked beef)
o Long Term- 2-4 grams/day/oral
Avoid- if breast feeding, pregnant
