What can I eat or drink between meals?
*Unsweet Sugar Free Decaffinated Beverages- water, tea, coffee, lemonade,
limeade, Diet Colas, Crystal Light, Sugar Free Kool-Aid, Sugar Free Popsicles,
Sugar Free Jello or Gelatin - Remember Liquids as Filling
*Stay away from juices- these are high in calories, use your calories on Food
-Avoid juices, milkshakes, colas and other foods as this -
too many calories
Why do I need snacks between meals?
*To prevent dehydration
*To keep your stomach full
*To prevent hunger
Foods to Avoid:
*Foods high in Fat, Sugar, Fiber, difficult to chew, Fried Foods, Tough Meats,
Meats with Gristle, Spicy Foods, Fibrous Vegetables, Whole Grain Breads,
Whole Grain Cereals, White Bread-not toasted, Bran, Coconut, Dried Fruits,
Seeds, Nuts, Popcorn, Pickles, Mature Cucumbers, raw Carrots, mushrooms,
oranges and grapefruit membranes, Granola, these foods must be added slowly
