*Cardiac and Renal stimulant producing various pharmacologic effects
What does it do?
*Raises Blood Pressure raises 5 to 15 mm within 15 minutes
*Mild Central Nervous Stimulant
*Smoking increases the metabolism of caffeine
*Makes the breast tender (fibrocystic disease FBD)
*May increase risk for Osteoporosis
*May improve memory, reasoning powers, small increase in HDLGood Cholesterol, protect against and lower CAD (Coronary Artery Disease)
*Acts mainly on the brain, CNS, heart, kidneys, lungs, and arteries that supply
blood to the heart and brain
*Can cause bradycardia, tachycardia, arrhythmia and palpitations
