Analgesic- Aspirin, Motrin, Darvocet, Tylenol
Effect of Medication on Nutritional Status:
Aspirin- Increases Urine, may cause Nausea
Increase Vitamin C- Oranges, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Peppers, Green
Leafy Vegetables, Broccoli, Cantaloupe, Strawberries, Cabbage
Motrin- Take with Food
Darvocet- May cause Constipation, Nausea and Vomiting
Tylenol- Take with Food or Milk
Side Effects:
Aspirin/Salicylate- Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea
Ibuprofen/Motrin- Headache, Dizziness, Weakness, Rash
Propoxyphene/Darvocet- Headache, Weakness, Dizziness, Rash,
Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation
Acetaminophen/Tylenol- Headache, Chest Pain, Rash, Fever
What can I do?
See your Health Care Provider- ask about your Medications
Avoid- ALCOHOL with all of the above
